That means in order to keep the region’s economy hopping we need to make sure our businesses operates in a way that can improve the sustainability of our place.

To ensure that the region’s best loved natural spots are preserved for visitors for years to come, a Sustainable Tourism Project is underway to help lift community awareness of being kind to the environment and its impact on the tourism industry.

One of the long-term goals of the project is to ensure that sustainable tourism becomes a mandatory part of all tourism businesses culture - while the Sustainable Tourism project is a three-year programme, sustainable tourism is a lifelong mission.
